I’m not yet sure what direction I want this blog to take. Part of it is a writing exercise for my own benefit. Part of it is a way for me to share the odd little clips, hacks and blips that catch my fancy… or something along those lines.
I am a young grad student who enjoys pure and applied research. You can find me at the Laboratory of Tree Ring Research, CLIMAS, and the School of Geography and Development at the University of Arizona. At the moment, I get my kicks by looking at the way trees grow to explore patterns in drought, rivers, and the atmosphere.
In my free time, I enjoy eating, taking things apart, reading, fly fishing, and traveling with my wife.
